What Is the H.U.M.A.N. Project? #
H.U.M.A.N. stands for Humanity’s Ubiquitous Memory Archival Net — a bold initiative to preserve truth and memory beyond the reach of censorship, corruption, or erasure.
The H.U.M.A.N. Project is a future-phase effort of Barking Justice Media to build a distributed, censorship-resistant archive of our most vital stories — especially those contributed through Stories We Remember.
Using technologies like IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) and other decentralized tools, H.U.M.A.N. will allow stories to:
- Exist across many nodes, not just on a single website
- Be downloaded, mirrored, or shared even in the face of takedowns or political pressure
- Outlast platforms, regimes, and server crashes
It’s a digital lifeboat for collective memory — designed to ensure that the truth of our time, as told by real people, can never be fully deleted or rewritten.
This project is currently in the planning stage. If you’re passionate about data preservation, archival ethics, or decentralization, we’d love to hear from you.
Because when the official record fails — the people must preserve their own.
