I’m Stuck and Can’t Come Up with a Story: #
That’s more common than you think, and it’s okay.
Sometimes, our most meaningful stories are buried under the rush of everyday life. But you don’t have to start with a blank page. Just head over to the Add Your Story form and try this:
You’ll see dropdown lists of Time Periods and Story Categories designed to spark your memory. You might notice a phrase that stirs a scene, a feeling, or a voice from your past.
Some examples:
- “Childhood in the 1960s”
- “Courage”
- “War and Peace”
- “A Turning Point”
- “Acts of Kindness”
- “Family Traditions”
You don’t have to select the “perfect” one, just the one that opens a door.
Still not sure? Pick a category that sounds close and begin. Often, the act of choosing is all it takes to get the story flowing.
Your voice matters. And sometimes, it just needs a little nudge.
