How Are Stories Chosen? #

Stories are chosen based on resonance, clarity, and heart, not on grammar, fame, or how polished they sound.

Our editorial team and Story Guardians at The Firing Line read every story with care. We look for those that stir emotion, reveal something true, or give voice to an experience that deserves to be remembered. It’s not about perfection, it’s about presence.

Sometimes a story opens a window into a time period we’ve forgotten. Sometimes it reflects resilience, courage, humor, or quiet wisdom. And sometimes, it’s the simplicity of a shared moment that makes it unforgettable.

We aim to uplift a wide range of voices, across cultures, generations, and lived experiences. Everyone has a story worth telling, and we’re here to honor as many as we can.

And remember: even if your story isn’t featured on the front page or selected as Story of the Month, it still matters deeply. Every story adds to the living archive of Stories We Remember.
